    The Sisters Restaurant

    • Biggest achievement in your career? Opening the Sisters 13 years ago this May 2011 the day after my 30th Birthday not a good move after a big party? First night on a larder/sauce/pastry corner oh yeh and the dishes hey ho 13 years still going!! A few more grey hairs mind you...
    • Pet hate in the kitchen? Dirty kitchen cloths and messy tables.
    • Favourite kitchen gadget? I love a wee hand held almost household blender for the cheeky wee things that need a blitz.
    • Favourite/Least Favourite ingredient? Fave is butter and despite how good it makes a risotto taste the smell of mushroom paste I just have never been able to handle it.
    • Favourite style of cooking? Scottish & Traditional homemade.
    • Most admired chef? All the guys that have taken Scotlands larder to where it should be and dont mind shouting about it.
    • What famous people have you cooked for? Billy Connolly, Robert Deval and Michael Keaton.
    • What age did you start cooking? Allowed into my Grannies kitchen a mere 5 to grate the carrots for the soup that was after I had picked the rhubarb for the crumble.
    • Favourite restaurant? St Monans Seafood.
    • Your guilty pleasure food? Shellfish luxury tempura from The Wee Hurrie in Troon, life is better after scallop, lobster & langoustine supper oh thats right & chips and the seagulls get none!!.

    What People Say....

'I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Friday's class with Jacqueline and Phil. I loved the venison dish and they made the day very congenial and entertaining as well as informative.

It was my first time at the school but it will not be my last. Thank you.'
