    Caramelised Apple Pastry

    Delicious pastry with an interesting twist...

    • 1 Golden Delicious apple (peeled, halved and cored)
    • 1 x 6" disc puff pastry
    • Tsp caster sugar
    • 25g butter

    Cut apple into very thin slices and arrange overlapping onto the pastry disc. Sprinkle with the sugar and dot on tiny knobs of butter. Bake at 180c for 20-25 minutes until pastry is cooked.

    Place pastry in centre of a plate border with the sauce and serve with vanilla ice cream.
